20 Radio Announcements made the week
prior to the Fair on WCLK. Embrace Director, Mark Karelson,
was interviewed live on WCLK 91.9 FM Smooth Jazz!
|
We enlisted the help of several museums located
within the region:
The embrace logo present on the Birmingham Museum
of Art website and in the latest Birmingham Museum
of Art email newsletter to 3,000 people. The Chattanooga
African American Museum sent out 200 embrace
invitations in their latest mailing. The Lucy
Craft Laney Museum of Black History sent our
1,000 embrace flyers to their mailing list. The
New Orleans Museum of Art included us in their
e-newsletter. And, the Tubman Museum in Macon
included embrace in their newsletter to 1,200
people. We also arranged a bus to pick up and drop off
members of The Association of African and African
American Museum Support Groups for the Opening
Party. Mr. Benny Andrews agreed to be the Honorary
Host for the Opening Party!
|
Presence on the NBAF Homepage. We were also displayed
on the ArtNet Homepage the weekend before the event, and
listed on the Special Events page, as well as their ArtNet
News Page.
|
We
also hired two PR firms that worked on promoting the Fair,
plus 5 of our own fulltime employees.
|
We were lucky to have an incredible host committee
that worked nonstop to get the word out via paper invitations
and hundreds of evite blasts.
|
Finally, tickets to the Opening
Party and the Fair were available online through the embrace
website at www.embraceatl.com. |
